MY MUSICAL STORY
Kerri Elizabeth is a 17 year-old violinist from Maine who has been studying music since she was 4 years old. Kerri Elizabeth relocated to Washington, DC, in 2019 to become a Youth Fellow with the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO). While in DC, she studied under Ricardo Cyncynates (NSO) for 3 years, before joining the studio of Wanzhen Li (NSO) in 2022. An accomplished performer, Kerri Elizabeth has appeared with the Portland Youth Symphony Orchestra, American Youth Concert Orchestra (concertmaster), AYCO Junior Chamber Ensemble, American Youth Symphonic Orchestra (concertmaster), American Youth Philharmonic, the Iceberg Chamber Music Institute, Institute Suzuki Montreal Orchestra, the U.S. Army Orchestra, Air Force Strings, and the First Baptist Church of Alexandria Orchestra (principal violin).
In 2016, at the age of 10, she was the youngest musician accepted into the Karger College Preparatory Program, performing a specially commissioned piece at the Maine College of Art Music festival. Later that year, she became the youngest musician ever accepted into the Portland Youth Symphony Orchestra. Equally comfortable in the recording studio, Kerri Elizabeth composed and recorded multiple violin parts for a Quebecois recording artist. She has performed solo and in ensembles on various stages from Maine to Montreal, and DC to St. John’s, including: the Appalachian Chamber Music Festival, the Kennedy Center’s “Millennium Stage'', the Dirksen Senate Building, the Kennedy Center Concert Hall, Rachel M. Schlesinger Hall, The Lyceum, The Athenaeum, and more across the U.S. and Canada.
